Are there supposed to be grid lines spaced out about the room when editing with the pen note? The coloring is much darker and bluer when viewing through the HoloLens; the picture doesn’t seem to capture it though.
It always comes up whenever I use the pen note, but my coworker’s Manifest app apparently doesn’t do this.

Hi Wesley,
Good to hear from you! What you’re seeing is the spatial mesh that gets enabled and displayed when you use any tool which relies on understanding surfaces in your space. In the case of pen notes – the spatial mesh drops and allows you to ink over objects or surfaces when using the pen tool.
If this doesn’t happen for your colleague – is it possible they are not using the actual pen tool, but rather using pen shapes (which would not rely on the spatial mesh)? Or are there any other notable differences between the two experiences (eg. app version, device)? Maureen

Hi Maureen,
Likewise! I enjoy our talks. I think we fixed that on our end (it might’ve been a momentary glitch on our end — a restart did the trick I think). It’s possible that the right tool wasn’t selected though. Thanks for the explanation!
