Manifest Connect is the communication and collaboration component of Manifest. Built on the industry standard WebRTC server technology, Manifest Connect enables real-time and asynchronous collaboration, communication, and remote guidance among frontline workers. Jobs are done faster and more accurately when workers can get help from experts whenever and wherever they need it.
How does Manifest Connect work?
The Manifest Connect component within Manifest allows users to connect with one another while using Manifest. The Manifest Connect capabilities include the ability to text and video chat between workers and devices. Additional features include being able to share a video, share a file and share a job with another user. Manifest also enables remote experts to guide and direct workers using 3D objects. This functionality is enabled with every Manifest license and works with all Manifest-supported devices, including a web browser.

What are the bandwidth requirements for Manifest Connect?
A reliable network connection with enough bandwidth for all team members using Manifest Connect is fundamental to a good experience. What is the resolution of the Manifest Connect video display on head mounted devices?
The default resolution of the Manifest Connect video is 540p (960×540).
What User Role must be used to access Manifest Connect?
All User Roles, including Viewer, have access to Manifest Connect. This functionality is built into every role and license of Manifest to enable real-time communication and collaboration among all users.
Can a user using a head mounted device call another user using the Manifest Web Application?
Yes! Manifest Connect enables a broad range of functionality across all supported devices, including:
- Real-time text chats
- Direct audio and video calls for 1-1 calls among workers
- Call initiation from a job step maker. The contact list will sort by relevant users starting with the original Author and recent Operator who’ve performed the procedure.
- Sharing of photos, videos, PDFs or even a job with another user
- Guiding of remote workers with 3d objects

My Connect calls won’t show incoming audio or video on the Web Portal – what might be happening?
Certain Chrome or Edge plug-ins may interfere with Connect calls if they block automatic playing of video or audio streams. If you are having issues with incoming audio and video not working, please check to see if you have a plugin that blocks playback and either disable it or allow your Taqtile Manifest web portal URL to auto-play media streams.
