About this release

Below, you will find all the latest updates introduced on the Manifest Web Application on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Version 4.1 introduces a new User Admin role and a significant refinement of Roles and Permissions across the applications. This update also incorporates feature enhancements and usability improvements based on user feedback and feature requests.   

Support notes

Important! To ensure compatibility, clients using an On-premise solution should wait to update to 4.1 on the client applications until Docker version 4.1 is available.   

Docker 4.1 will be available soon. 

What’s new

 Roles and Permissions Enhancements  

  • Clearer delineation of what each role can view and do, empowering clients to customize user access more effectively
  • Introduction of a new User Admin role
  • Launch of a new ‘Operate’ license type, tailored for users who don’t require content creation or editorial capabilities

 User Management Updates   

  • The Users Page now restricts visibility to only Users within the organization(s) that the User Admin or Admin has access to

 Client Settings Improvements   

  • Option for Admins to disable Welcome Message completely
  • Option to ‘Skip to End’ for the EULA
  • Option to ‘Skip to End’ for the EULA

Additional Updates  

  • Improved login process for Account Owner 
  • Enhanced drag and drop UI for adding photo notes
  • Security updates to enhance platform protection
  • Minor bug fixes for improved stability

Point release updates for 4.1

4.1.1

4.1.1 was published on the Client Web Application on Tuesday, January 21, 2025

In this release we make a few small API updates to fix bugs on the 3D, iPad and Maker applications, including:

  • Update to the Default Welcome Message to be passed properly over to the 3D and iPadOS application
  • Update to handle for a login issue on the Maker Application is a user has the role = User Admin
  • Update to handle for the new license type = Operate for on-premise installations

4.1.2

4.1.2 was published on the Client Web Application on February 12, 2025.

In this release we made a few small feature enhancements and fixed a few bugs.  These include:

  • Handle for how Deleted Users work when removed from Work, Team Jobs, etc.
  • Handle to only allow for (1) Primary Org
  • Refactor Locations to be silo’ed by Org
  • Refactor Logs to be silo’ed by Org
  • Ability to edit “Text” evidence notes in a Job
  • Various other Bug fixes
