Below you will find all the latest updates introduced with Manifest 2.6 and subsequent point releases – now available in the Microsoft Store. This release focused on Remote Rendering for 3D models.

Overview of what’s new

Azure Remote Rendering 

Manifest 3D on HoloLens2 now supports the ability to remotely render large and complex models using Azure Remote Rendering services.

Feature Improvements

  • Added ability to add photos to a Bug Report
  • Updated the Notifications Manager with an option to report a bug from Error Messages

Fixed in 2.6

Cross-Platform Functionality

  • Fixed an issue where Asset Classes favorited on the Web application were not showing under Favorites for Manifest 3D

  • Fixed an issue where Choice Notes were not showing on Auto-Preview mode

Point release updates for 2.6

2.6.1

2.6.1 was published to the Microsoft Store on September 28, 2022

In this release we focused on several bug fixes and overall improved handling.

  • Fixed an issue that occurred when copying 3d Model settings to another model
  • Added handling to prevent a case where more than one user can access the same Template and edit if one user slept the device during edit mode.
  • Added the voice command “Next” for advancing through the Guided Tour
  • Increased the duration that a Direct ink annotation renders for the operator
  • Improved messaging when an Author closes Asset Tag while authoring
  • Fixed a bug where newly created or assigned Jobs wouldn’t show automatically on the user’s dashboard
  • Fixed a bug where newly created Jobs wouldn’t appear automatically on the list of Jobs in the Asset window
  • Fixed a bug where assigned Jobs wouldn’t correctly show their assigned state automatically on the list of Jobs in the Asset window
  • Improved handling for Remote Rendering
  • Improved handling when authoring is selected to be opened while a template or job is open and vice versa

2.6.2

2.6.2 was published to the Microsoft Store on October 20, 2022

In this release we focused on bug fixes and improvements.

  • Fixed an issue where the video in a Connect call could appear upside-down when connected to a user on an iPad in certain cases
  • The Connect window will now appear behind and to the right the step marker rather than being docked to the step marker, which fixes some issues with the Connect window disappearing when working on jobs with embedded templates or choice notes
  • Fixed an issue where either creating a note for a template or adding evidence to a job would fail if the text or title of the note/evidence contained a quotation mark or slash

2.6.3

2.6.3 was published to the Microsoft Store on November 8, 2022

In this release we focused on bug fixes and improvements.

  • Made improvements related to performance and stability when working on very large jobs
  • Improved device responsiveness when loading a Job or Template
  • Fixed an issue where the multipliers would not work for the Proxy Cube when editing the position of a model relative to the asset tag
  • Fixed an issue in which search would not return Assets if the search term matched their Internal id or Asset Tag ID
  • When a Connect call is made from the Step marker, the Call window is now correctly visually shown as Pinned
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Bug Report submission to report that it successfully completed even if it failed

2.6.4

2.6.4 was published to the Microsoft Store on December 8, 2022

In this release we focused on a few minor bug fixes.

  • Corrected an issue in which the Title for a Choice Note was not visible
  • Corrected an issue in which the Settings window would partially disappear if the user tapped on the option to Clear Cached Files
  • Added additional error handling for working with Azure Remote Rendering
