About this release
Below you will find all the latest updates introduced with Manifest 2.7 and subsequent point releases – now available in the Microsoft Store. This focus of this release is allowing Manifest users to ‘tagless’ – eliminating the need for a printed paper QR code. Read on to learn more about the new features making this possible.

Support notes
Important! Clients with On-premise configurations must update their docker installation for compatibility. Manifest 3D v. 2.7 is compatible with the Docker version 2.6 (released February 1, 2023) and onward.

Overview of what’s new
Touch Alignment: Go Tagless!
Authors can now use the Touch Alignment feature to configure the ‘placement’ of the Asset Tag on an Asset Class virtually – eliminating the need for a printed QR code. Subsequent users can replicate the Asset Tag setup using “Place Tag” following Touch Alignment, as configured by the Author, aided by reference photos from the original setup.
Notes:
– Touch Alignment Setup is not yet supported in Offline Mode
– Touch Alignment does not currently support Alignment Tags
Text Capture: Convert text to a digital format directly from a photo
Text Capture allows users to use the camera to capture text in their environment for quick conversion to the digital format. Whether it’s a serial number, label, or sign – simply take a photo, and Text Capture will return the results in digital form for your use. While this tool can be used anywhere one would enter ‘Text’ – Search, Notes, Step Instructions, and so on – this is a great tool to quickly capture serial numbers or other asset identification into the Search window to pull up Assets (in lieu of scanning a QR code).
Notes:
– Text Capture can only be accessed on the Manifest keyboard
– If using the Microsoft keyboard, first switch to the Manifest keyboard to access this feature

Point release updates for 2.7
2.7.1
2.7.1 was published to the Microsoft Store on February 13, 2023
In this release we focused on several bug fixes:
- Corrected an issue that could occur with Touch Alignment Setup on devices with certain region settings
- Fixed an issue in which the Notes window could persist when viewing the Evidence on a different Step
- Fixed issues with Team Jobs requiring the Team Owner to lock the job twice and preventing the Team Owner from going back into Team Setup

2.7.2 was published to the Microsoft Store on February 28, 2023
In this release we focused on several additional bug fixes and improvements:
- Added support for setting up Touch Alignment on an Asset while in Offline Mode
- Made improvements to the Team Setup UI for Jobs
- Manifest now correctly informs the user if they attempt to use a Single Sign On option that is not configured for their domain
- Corrected an issue where searching for internal id on an Asset would not return the correct results

2.7.3 was published to the Microsoft Store on March 7, 2023
In this release we focused on several additional bug fixes and improvements:
- Fixed an issue in which the session expired window would not close after logging back in
- Fixed a visual issue where a button would appear when sharing a job
- Corrected an issue in which the unread message indicator in the Connect window could appear or not appear correctly in some cases
- Improved the values for network usage when using diagnostics functionalityNote: due to the rate at which Windows devices poll this value, there will only be a change in the upload and download speed per minute and each value recording during that minute will display the same averaged value
2.7.4
2.7.4 was published to the Microsoft Store on April 5, 2023
- When multiple chat messages are received quickly, additional chat popups are no longer queued while one is already showing for a new chat message from that user
- Corrected an issue that could cause the Connect window to not populate
- Improved and corrected issues with the direction arrow that appears to guide the Operator to a step
- Improved messages for when Active Directory is not allowed for a user due to Microsoft domain policies
- Improved error handling for when a Connect call is attempted to be made or answered and the device does not have the correct permissions granted by the system
- Fixed an issue that could cause meter measurements to not display if the device is set to a locale that uses commas instead of periods for decimal points
